Applied Behavior Analysis
ABA is an evidence-based practice that focuses on increasing socially significant behaviors (e.g., toileting, washing hands, attending to tasks) and decreasing maladaptive or inappropriate behaviors (e.g., tantrums, self-injury, property destruction). The overall goal is to ensure that interventions implemented are as least restrictive as possible and that skills being targeted are benefitting the individual.
